Where Are All the Black Designers? Symposium
In 2015, Maurice Cherry gave a presentation titled "Where Are The Black Designers?", a talk which was inspired by the work of noted Black graphic designer Cheryl D. Miller to answer a question which has been asked in and of the design community for decades. Now, five years later, Maurice will present an updated version of his 2015 talk, including a special one-on-one interview with Cheryl D. Miller herself as she talks about her work, her perspective on the current design landscape, and about preserving her legacy in design history. He will also speak to Kristina Lamour Sansone about how Cheryl's work has influenced her own practice and understanding of the field.
